Veteran Bollywood actor Vikram Gokhale, known for films like ‘Agneepath’, ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ among many others, was admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune a few days ago. His admission to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) though was kept under wraps for many days. The 82-year-old actor has under around the clock medical supervision. While this was being written, the family was expecting to bring Gokhale home around 10 am today. In the meantime, unverified news of his death spread like wildfire. Ajay Devgn Tweeted, “Vikram Gokhale sir brought a lot of gravitas to the roles he essayed. He always stood tall. I had the good fortune of sharing screen time with him. His passing away is very sad. I pray his soul finds eternal peace. RIP Vikram sir. Condolences to his family. Om shanti.” Vikram Gokhale’s body of work also includes television and Marathi cinema.
