Abhishek Bachchan is back with a huge project. Since patriotic fervor seems to be the flavor of the season and many Bollywood films doing well in the genre of late, Abhishek Bachchan too has delved into the same with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Announcing this project on social media, Abhishek said, “I’m privileged and honored to present a cinematic tribute to India’s legendary warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. ‘Raja Shivaji’. Coming on May 1st 2026.” The film features stalwarts like Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, Amole Gupte, Genelia Deshmukh and Riteish Deshmukh. For those who want to know, Riteish is also directing this story. As per Abhishek, ‘Raja Shivaji’ will be “Releasing in six languages – Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.”
