Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao kept trending on various social media platforms throughout this weekend, thanks to their separation news. In a joint statement, the couple said, “In these 15 beautiful years together, we have shared a lifetime of experiences, joy and laughter. Now we would like to begin a new chapter in our lives – no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family. We began a planned separation some time ago, and now feel comfortable to formalise this arrangement, of living separately yet sharing our lives the way an extended family does,” which came as a shock to the entire industry and their fans. Aamir and Kiran also informed that they would raise their son Azad Rao Khan together, apart from working on their upcoming projects and their NGO Paani Foundation.
