Buzz has been that studios like Disney and Balaji Motions Pictures are backing out of projects following losses with films this year. Reacting to the same, Karan Johar, who owns Dharma Productions said, “We (studios) are absolutely in no grave crisis that is looming large. There is a reason why studios start and end. We are all filmmakers trying to tell stories and have been trying to cut budgets. But the producer, director and the film will always survive.” Ekta Kapoor headed Balaji Motion Pictures recently opted out of producing Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Veerey Di Wedding’.
