Despite all the negative feedback and backlash, the Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan-starrer ‘Adipurush’ had a fantastic opening at the box office. The hindi version of the film earned Rs 37 crore on its opening day and by the weekend, ‘Adipurush’ pocketed a total of approximately Rs 340 crore nett worldwide in all languages as per its production house, T-Series. Upon its release, the film faced a lot of flak for its dialogues which hurt religious sentiments. Three-time National Award winner, Manoj Muntashir was also dragged into the controversy for writing such dialogues. Soon the makers issued a statement reading, “Taking into consideration the public opinion and to make this visual spectacle a memorable cinematic experience, the team of ‘Adipurush’ has decided to make alterations to the film’s dialogues. The makers are revisiting the said dialogues, ensuring to resonate with the core essence of the film and the same will reflect in the theatres in the next few days.”
