Amitabh Bachchan and his family, including son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai, were infected with Covid-19 last year. No wonder then that as soon as Bachchan Senior announced that he was “dealing with some domestic Covid-19 situations” and that he “will connect later”, his fans all over the world went into a tizzy. His admirers, well-wishers and near and dear ones started asking and contemplating if anybody from the Bachchan family was infected yet again with the new variant. This compelled Big B to clarify that it was not any of them, rather a domestic help who had contracted coronavirus. A long chain of 31 staffers in both of his bungalows, Pratiksha and Jalsa, were tested. Out of the lot, one staff member tested positive and was immediately taken to the Covid Care Centre.
