International Indian Film Academy Awards, better known as the IIFA Awards, has been postponed thanks to the rampant spread of the coronavirus in the Asian subcontinent. IIFA Awards 2020 was to be held in the state of Madhya Pradesh from March 27 to March 29. Known for its IIFA weekend, the first two days were reserved for song and dance while the main awards were to be given away on Sunday. But the organizers have now called it off indefinitely. The industry is hoping to have the new dates soon when the event can be hosted after consultation with the government and concerning authorities. Once the Covid-19 spread is curtailed, IIFA Awards will go on with new dates.
