Nearly a quarter century after it was filmed, a forgotten project featuring Irrfan Khan has finally reached audiences. The film titled ‘The Last Tenant’ appeared on YouTube on April 29th as a tribute to the actor, who passed away in 2020 after battling cancer. Viewers are treated to a glimpse of a youthful Khan alongside Vidya Balan in what is considered her earliest appearance in cinema following her television work. Being 25 years, the movie’s journey to release was long and uncertain as its original reels had vanished, leaving the director unable to complete it. Hope was revived when a VHS copy surfaced, allowing restoration and completion of the story about a troubled musician seeking refuge before leaving his homeland. Since its online debut, the film has drawn significant attention quickly amassing hundreds of thousands of views.
