John Abraham’s vigilante action film, ‘Satyameva Jayate’, is strategically being released on the Independence Day, August 15, and will clash with Akshay Kumar’s patriotic saga ‘Gold’. “15th August is a very commercial date and you can make a lot of money on that day. If this film was released solo a week later, it would not make as much money as it would when released on August 15, despite clashing with ‘Gold’. On a holiday, there is enough space for two films to release. It is not called competing, we are rather complementing each other,” explains John. ‘Satyameva Jayate’ is directed by Milap Zaveri and also features Manoj Bajpayee and Aisha Sharma.
