Sonam Kapoor is very close to her father Anil Kapoor. The actress credits her career to daddy dearest. Sonam said, “I have had the best childhood. In fact, I feel that if my father wasn’t ambitious for me then I wouldn’t be here.” Sharing an anecdote as to how she stumbled into acting and Bollywood, Sonam said, “I remember, when I was younger I said, ‘Dad I want to direct’. Dad was shooting for ‘Musafir’ in Goa and he said, ‘You can write, act and direct. Why do you want to do only one thing?’ And that is just a testimony of how he has brought my sister and me up. There has always been a lot of confidence.”
