The biopic of hockey legend Dhyanchand has been a topic of speculation for a long time now. Karan Johar is making the film and rumours that Shah Rukh Khan would be playing the lead were circulating. But the actor denied being approached for the same. SRK said, “A lot of people have been talking about it but no one has offered me the film yet. When I was growing up, my father told me to respect a few people like Milkha Singh and Dhyanchandji. I have heard a lot about their stories. They were my ideals in my growing up years so I would be very thrilled to play the part. But I have not been offered the film yet. I don’t know if I can play hockey that good… actually no one can. You would need a lot of effects for that.” Shah Rukh has done a film ‘Chak De! India’ which was based on hockey.
