Suniel Shetty reflected on the extraordinary reach of Shah Rukh Khan’s fame describing it as a phenomenon that extends far beyond India. In a recent conversation with Raj Shamani, he explained that SRK’s success is rooted in several factors ranging from his relentless dedication to his craft to the powerful role of music in his films, “Because he had music. In India, music matters. He had Yashji (Chopra) with him and the best songs. His commitment to his craft. Inventing and reinventing himself all the time, the grace. He’s complete from a human perspective. The respect he gives and expects – he’s there when he’s needed.” Shetty also pointed out that Khan’s charm lies in his old-school approach, noting, “He’s not about social media. He’s not about posting. He has a yesteryear charm, which many of the earlier stars had.” Shetty contrasted this with the current generation’s reliance on online presence, adding, “But these guys aren’t that way. Also like Ranbir – his charm is that he’s not there. He’s there where his work is. His work speaks, and the rest is for you to imagine.” Suniel Shetty will soon be seen in Ahmed Khan’s ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ alongside Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, and if all goes well then he is also set to return in ‘Hera Pheri 3’ with the original cast.
