Well-known fashion designer Rohit Bal who has designed for many Bollywood celebrities personally as well as for their films is in critical condition. The 62-year-old is suffering with a heart ailment and had undergone angioplasty in 2010. Despite that, Bal has been struggling with his health since then. The pre-existing heart condition worsened and led to the designer’s hospitalisation in Gurugram, where he was directly admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Medanta Hospital yesterday. Rohit Bal has designed not only for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Kajol, Parineeti Chopra, Pooja Hegde, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar but also for Hollywood celebrities like Pamela Anderson, Uma Thurman, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell among others. In 2018, Bal had courted controversy taking on his social media account reportedly talking about how some Bollywood celebs don’t pay for their designs, a post which he later deleted.
